Does anyone know a good guitar for a beginner? I'm looking for something under $500.

Thanks. (:

The first guitar I got was a Peavey T-15, and it was really nice, because it was only 3/4 length, and for younger kids, (like I was when I started) it works well. Then I upgraded to a Fender Stratacastor (Classic!) which if you're just starting, I'd HIGHLY recommend that! It's easy to find a low priced but good quality Strat, it's comfortable, it sounds AMAZING, and it's just an overall nice guitar. I'd look for one here:

They usually have the best prices on instruments. Hope this helps!

PS - GWAR!!! (Nice avatar!) Very Happy

Thanks! I'm thinking about getting an ESP. Have you ever played one? Also, do you think this would be a good deal? http://www.zzounds.com/item--ESPEX50PKG
I like the shape. Very Happy

PS-GWAR is awesome! (:

Yeah, I have! ESP's are very nice, and that would be great for a beginner guitar!

Also, the one on zzounds would be a great guitar to start with! Nice package, comes with everything you need, and the shape is like an X-Plorer! (Which is what I'm saving up for right now!) I'd go for it! Plus that's not a bad price!! Very Happy

Thanks. I'll probably get it when I have some extra money.
